This super unit was launched by Tetsuro Shimaguchi
(actor and sword fighting choreographer) 
and Hiroki Miki (Japanese drum player).  
Both of them are highly regarded inside and outside Japan. 
 
They built a powerful tie-up to create a totally
new genre by beating down traditional styles
and slashing open a new world.

"KIRIYA" Tetsuro Shimaguchi (at right in photo)
Born on May 13th, 1970 in Saitama Prefecture.
Graduated from Nihon University,
College of Art, Department of Cinema.
After years of experiences in stage performances including Kabuki
(traditional drama performed by male actors), 
he established "Kamui" in 1998 and has been serving as its leader. 
Not only has he been performing on stage, in movies and events,
but also has been active as a sword fight choreographer.
He choreographed fighting scenes in "Kill Bill vol.1"
directed by Quentin Tarantino and also made an appearance as
CRAZY88-MIKI in the movie.
His recent performances in variety of fields include:
touring the U.S. with Kamui at various venues
such as The Kennedy Center (Washington, US), 
putting on a dinner show called "Chanbara"
at Akasaka Prince  Hotel in Japan,
performing "Samurai Spirit" in Edinburgh, Scotland, 
appeared in a movie directed by Sugisaku, and so on. 
He also choreographed many theoretical plays such as
"Claudia", "Humanity", and "Hoshino Daichini Furu Yoru"
performed by Chikyu Gorgeous.Additionally,
he is active in teaching at "Kamui Dojo"
on a regular basis and at the New National Theater in order
to train younger people, and also active in choreographing & instructing
inside and outside of Japan.
He is certified as a dancer of Nanaougi-style Japanese traditional
dance and undergoing training of Shinkage-style swordplay,
Karate (Miura Dojo), and Japanese drums (under Hiroki Miki)

"UCHIYA" Hiroki Miki (at left in photo)
Born on September 22nd, 1973 in Tokyo.
Started to play Japanese drums at the age of 2 and debuted
as a professional Japanese drum player when he was only 15 years old. 
At the age of 21, he has established his own world as a soloist crossing
over different genres and without being limited by traditional-style,
which enabled him to collaborate with performers from different genres.
The total number of his performances exceed 2,500 in Japan and overseas
including areas such as Asia, Europe, Russia, Africa and South America.
He has performed with such finest artists as Yang Xing Xin,
Murakami "Ponta" Shuichi, Rikiya Higashihara,
Tatuya Ishii, Makoto Kuriya, Kazumi Watanabe,
Shinichi Kinoshita, Hiromitsu Agatsuma.
He has also been appearing in TV shows,
radio shows and commercials and active in recording,
as well as teaching Japanese drum teams across Japan and
composing music for them. 
Released his 1st album "Fu-rin-ka-zan" in 2003.
He has designed an original Bachi (Japanese drum sticks)as well.
He played the introductory music for the fighting league 
"Pride Male Festival Bushido".
He continues to quest for his own world and the world of Japanese drums
which keeps expanding day-by-day limitlessly while cherishing traditional styles.
He is the first solo Japanese drum player and the master of Hiroki Miki-style
Japanese drum performance. 
At the same time, he is learning sword fighting under Tetsuro Shimaguchi.
